IMPORTANT NOTICE

On Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th December 2017 South Queensferry Medical Practice will be operation an EMERGENCY ONLY service.

There will be no routine appointments or Drop in clinic on those days.

This is due to a major upgrade to our computer system.

PLEASE ensure that you order any repeat medication that you may require in advance as we will be unable to issue any repeat prescription on these days.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Practice nurses are experienced registered nurses. They are available by appointment for sevices such as:

  • Asthma management

  • Cardio-vascular disease review

  • Cervical screening

  • Childhood immunisations

  • COPD management

  • Cryotherapy

  • Diabetes management

  • Ear syringing

  • Family planning advice

  • Hypertension monitoring

  • Travel immunisations and travel health

  • Well person clinics

  • Wound care

Healthcare Assistants

Kelly Abrahams - Phlebotomist

 Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
